Trust & safety

Acceptable use & community guidelines

These rules keep ViewStage safe for brands and creators. They apply to everyone and form part of our Terms of Service.

Content that is never allowed

  • Child safety. Any sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits a minor, is strictly prohibited. We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by law and remove the account immediately.
  • Illegal or dangerous content — content that promotes or facilitates illegal activity, violence, self-harm, or serious physical harm.
  • Hate & harassment — attacks or dehumanizing content targeting people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics; bullying or targeted harassment.
  • Infringing content — videos, music, footage, or other material you do not own or have the rights to use, including third-party music that is not cleared for paid/branded use. To report infringement, see our Copyright & DMCA policy.
  • Sexually explicit, deceptive, or malicious content — pornography, malware, phishing, or content designed to deceive.

Conduct that is not allowed

  • Faking engagement — buying, bots, or otherwise artificially inflating views, followers, or other metrics.
  • Plagiarism — submitting content you did not create or do not have the rights to.
  • Going off-platform to dodge fees — taking a deal discovered on ViewStage off-platform to avoid the platform fee.
  • Impersonation — pretending to be another person, brand, or creator, or misrepresenting your identity or channels.
  • Spam, scams, and abuse — unsolicited promotion, fraud, scraping, or attempts to circumvent our security or rate limits.
  • Misusing connected accounts — connecting accounts you do not own, or using platform data in ways the source platform prohibits.

Honesty in sponsored content

Sponsored videos must clearly and conspicuously disclose the brand relationship, in line with the FTC's endorsement guidelines (for example, a clear "#ad" or "paid partnership" disclosure). Creators are responsible for disclosing; brands must not ask creators to hide a paid relationship.

Reporting a problem

If you see content or behavior that breaks these rules, use the Report control on a creator's profile, or email trust@viewstage.io. For anything involving a child's safety, report it immediately — these reports are escalated and reviewed as a priority. We do not reveal who filed a report.

How we enforce

Depending on severity and history, we may remove content, issue a warning, suspend or permanently ban an account, or hold a payout. We review reports and act on what we find. If you believe an enforcement action was a mistake, you can appeal it within the window shown when the action is applied.

Changes & contact

We may update these guidelines as the platform evolves; material changes will be posted here. Questions? Email trust@viewstage.io.
